YOUTH FRONTIER CLUB (YOFRO) ROLLS!

As I promised earlier when I was launching this blog, The Youth Frontier Club Rolls back again in Lilongwe Area 25. This has been due to public demand after it proved to be a force to reckon with in as far as fighting against immoral among the youth is concerned.

The journey of Youth Frontier club has been a long one with a lot of ups and downs on the way. No one can blame me for applying the emergence brakes from the club which caused the unidirectional flow of the club. It was after a long struggle with illness that erupted later thanks to my family and people like Utibe Okims who kept encouraging me during these moments, for me to live today is by grace of God and it’s a long testimony on its own.

The subject here is on Youth Frontier, its starting was a resulting of determination on the part of the youth in the community after seeing that there seemed to be no life at all as young people had all the backing for immoral with what did you expect us to be doing then.

The birth of the club has brought new breath into the lives of many. At first it was only for young people with specific qualifications and talents but later the demand grew stronger that many decided to join. Like a dream the club had thirty twenty members and thirty other who were just as interested as a fish in the lake.

The club has its mission in planting moral values in young peoples’ lives and many other objectives which I will keep on sharing with you in the coming articles.

But this 19th October meeting was a specific one as ten members turned up to strategize on the youth frontier Club and evaluate what were the good sides well before.

We laughed where jokes were shared and moved on to plan our next activities, so nice was the time that no one wanted to live the meeting as it was getting interesting moment after moment. Then flow was just super. You will be seeing the faces of Captain Namathanga (Director), Mayamiko Chidothe (Secretary), Emmanuel Mwale (Chairman), Brown Kamwendo (Discipline officer), Madalitso Nyirenda, Innocent Chirambo, Madalo Banda, William Mwale, Revival Phiri, Maher-shalal-hash-Baz, and Rashid Hassan in the near future. There will be some more faces of chimwemwe Msowoya and Captain Dyson Chifudzeni who remain influential to the club.
The planning has gotten on the way with a trip to the lake early December for a visit, planning and community work. Whoever wishes to join this trip is welcome, as for me I know I will enjoy every bit of it.

There will be some youth mentoring activities, talent shows, home visits, debates, jokes and prayers in the club. Ooh yeah who can blame the prayer session when it’s the back one of the club operating under The Salvation Army. Just leave a comment on this page if you want to know more about the club, another child of the club will be born soon in another page that I will explain later.

It’s our passion our love our enthusiasm, our care our hope our strength our prayers, our vision and our leadership that will make the club indeed roll!

See you when you meet the members next time.
