BUILDING A TRUSTED MEDIA

There is no any other way of communicating and appealing to the mass than the use of radio stations, televisions, newspapers, leaflets and magazines. the impact the media makes to the world is too huge to analyse and explain.

for us to know that there is war, there is christianity, there is politics, economy exists, education results are out, disease outbreak, it takes the media to play its roles effectively and efficiently. this takes real commitment and sound policies to be achieved.

it is stated that people in several countries are loosing trust in the media as they are found to be spreading what they are not supposed to and inventing stories that never happened in the process becoming true or false prophets. a survey thatw as carried out recently in britain has revealed that the public is losing trust with the media. onl;y 28% of its population trust the media.

this is not a surprise to many who are practising in the field as they know what happens and where is the loophole. the demand on how this can be changed to suit the real role of the media.
it is easily said than done by many people in the society today. however i believe the media should be an exception and they purely act and work to the benefit of the public. many have found themselves in the shoes of appeasement of certain individuals that the general public. yet the media tend to think they are satisfying the public.

in another report published recently, by one electral commission revealed one media house 100% in support of certain group of people than the public, thinking the whole population of the country support that part. i beleave the media should be wholesomely dedicated t0 the public regardless of who is their financial or owner.

we need to improve on this cause by so doing even our sales will grow rampant cause the public is supporting us and subscribes to our independent writings.

like real men, what can we do to build back the trust we deserve?

focus on issue that are touching the base. or praise and no criticism brings questions of doubt. regardless of whether you are a public media hous or private, you owe your loyarty to the public and no one else by telling the truth and nothing else.
