AGGRESSIVE ADVERTISING AND MOTIVATIONAL PUBLICITY

The world is now floating in a large tube of advertising, for any businessman to sell and get prosperous; there is an unseen hand of advertisement that emerges that no one recognizes.

Still, there are two arms that have been forbidden the advantages of advertising. The church can not advertise in an open way but still have the large following; they reason that Jesus and whoever they believe does the advertising part and they do the implementation part.

Never have we heard the hospital being involved in advertisement they believe in offering good services and the services testify for them. However both of them have a large mass of followers, you will never go to a church where you will find no people, you will never go to a hospital where you will not find patients.

Nowadays, the level of advertising is just too much for many, you cannot walk down the street rid on a bus watch the television or read your email without seeing advertisements. Some of the advertisement messages that are carried out are irrelevant to life but still catches the attention of many.

In the early days the advertisement world was only constrained and limited to production industry, remember the days of candlex limited, Maluwa soap, Coca-cola. The world has now fast changed with people realizing the potential of publicity and advertisement, politicians, human rights groups and industrial world has failed to differentiate between advertisement, publicity, lobbying and general knowledge. No one really knows what step to take to transmit the required message to the public and the masses, a message that will make an impact.

People are being mad to choose what they really did not want because of aggressive advertisement, with wrong message being put on the billboards and brochures and in the newspapers. If consumers suddenly stopped wanting to buy so many products then what happens to the people whose job is to make them, definitely many would be unemployed.

The subject dates back to atime when people were offering low services and at the end make money because they did not have competitors, they always dwelt on what was available than what would serve there needs and meet there required specifications.

Most of the times, advertisers don’t have the good of society in mind when they do their work-they only care about making profits. This means that they regurarly advertise unhealthy or harmful things. Fast food adverts are large part of the reason so many children are obese, advertisers would not love to hear that, healthy wise one has to eat accordingly and with good quantity, the information about this is most of the times with the hospital and they will only tell you this when you go to the hospital or you hear it from your friend, that raping a child is a sin, everyone knows but not much lobbying has been done to curb the practice with many saying it’s a biblical matter and only theologians can explain it better. We have turned our advertisements and lobbying to please a few people who can provide butter to our bread and forget the masses out there. Many don’t realize the power of adverts; they can ruin and can build a society.

The media has not helped matters though, anything goes with no filtering, last time adverts of an AIDS cure were all over when the government and scientist were vehemently protesting that the cure is not found yet. One time the president was complaining of aggressive advertisement that left people flattered and cheated, the network cannot be reached now things have improved and that aggressive advertisement has died down.
